Today's the day! Minim App 2.0 is officially live.

Last year, Minim became a Made for MikroTik software partner and launched the Minim Installer for MikroTik— a tool for operators to easily configure any MikroTik hardware with Minim. Since then, we've made several MikroTik router security enhancements to the tool.

As Minim helps operators deliver premium services to support the connected home, improving the connected device experience for subscribers is always top of mind. As such, we are excited to share that, coming soon in March 2020, the Minim mobile app will get a total refresh. Welcome to Minim App 2.0!

To further enable ISPs to deliver a simple and secure connected experience to their subscribers, we recently introduced parental controls for content filtering. As an addition to Minim's existing parental controls suite, this new feature gives users control over what internet traffic can make its way onto children's devices.

In this Minim feature spotlight edition, I'll review Guest WiFi Network Assistance. This tool empowers service providers to help callers create and manage a guest WiFi network. For the subscriber, a guest WiFi network can tame devices amassing in the home by safeguarding the main WiFi network from visitor over-utilization and security threats.

In July, Minim became a Made for MikroTik software partner and launched support for MikroTik routers on the Minim platform. To further enable support for MikroTik routers, we're excited to introduce the new Minim Installer for MikroTik. With the Minim Installer, operators can easily configure any MikroTik hardware and make them Minim-enabled.

As a vendor member of the Wireless Internet Service Providers Association (WISPA), Minim works with WISPs to deliver advanced WiFi and IoT security services to subscribers. To provide more support for WISPs and rural broadband providers alike, Minim is working on developing toolsets for rural carriers who receive funding through CAF.
